We are looking for a band 5 staff nurse to join our friendly team on the world-renowned St. Andrews Centre Burns Intensive Care Unit. We provide care to our patients, both adults and paediatrics, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days a year. We work together, and in conjunction with MSE and care Partnership to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well-being of our patients in a compassionate way, and provide a respectful, but vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers. From facilities through to consultant specialists, we want to be the best; to achieve this, we need to recruit not just those who are the finest in their field but also those who have the potential to be. Job description Job responsibilities You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document holistic high-quality and individualized care, which respects patients' personal dignity and beliefs whilst maintaining and promoting effective communication within the care team and with colleagues, patients, relatives, and visitors. Your role is to maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors, and staff, participate in educational and professional development programmes, upholding the philosophy of evidence-based practice and maintain a professional profile while developing skills, knowledge, and competencies adhering to the NMC code of professional conduct, Trust policies and procedures, and local competency frameworks. You will lead by example and embed the trust's values and behaviour in all aspects of the clinical environment and be able to demonstrate continuing professional development, reflecting individual needs of the team and the organisation.
