Main duties of the job
To act as a role model, mentoring, coaching and supporting all staff To promote the role of elderly care to stakeholders To foster a culture of networking in an open and transparent approach to both internal and external stakeholders Monitor and improve quality care indicators relevant to the SDEC environment To help promote and recruit into nursing vacancies
Practice Act as clinical expert in topics relating to the specialty Prioritise, facilitate and monitor the delivery of care to patients, ensuring continuity of care Participate in clinical supervision Be aware of and participate in the complaints/RCA procedure Be aware of and participate in the Trusts strategy for managing clinical risks and clinical governance Act as a professional and clinical role model to all staff, patients and the public at all times Promote the development of new services within the area and assist the Lead Nurse to implement change Maintain efficient and effective communication with the multidisciplinary team on issues relating to patient care

1st Level RGN Demonstrable post registration professional development in general medicine 998 or other recognised teaching course
