We are seeking an enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join the Social Care Team within the Adult Community Care Service on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. In supporting the Band 6 Team Leader, you will: Assist the Band 6 Senior Team Leaders in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care for Service Users living at home within a defined caseload. Assist with the management of the caseloads, day-to-day support, supervision, and deployment of staff. Provide high-quality Social Nursing Care supporting Service Users in the community and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within an integrated Social/Nursing care model. Please note: Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale. The Guernsey Band 6 salary range is £36,900 to £47,590 plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH. Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave. The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. It has some of Britain's finest and best-kept beaches, an especially mild and sunny climate, and an offbeat, historic harbour town in St. Peter's Port, the island's capital. This unique integrated health service delivers a diverse range of services including diagnosing and treating patients in the island's acute hospital complex and supporting people within the wider community, providing an excellent Community Care service, supported by modern equipment and reliant on Healthcare professionals recruited to a high standard. Person requirements: NMC-Registered Nurse Current or recent Community Care experience including supervision and support of Care Assistant/Support Worker staff Ability to plan and prioritise own workload and that of others Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deal with complex and challenging situations in a calm and diplomatic manner The ability to work autonomously and also as part of a multi-disciplinary team Punctual and reliable The benefits of working for the States of Guernsey include: A higher-than-UK salary.
