Evidence of professional and clinical knowledge acquired through training to degree/diploma level leading to Professional registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register i.e. (Adult / Child / Learning Disability or Mental Health) Evidence of undergraduate education for newly qualified nurses / or postgraduate continuing professional development for registered nurses who have post-registration experience Experience
Previous / recent experience or working in an acute secondary health and care setting (can include undergraduate student placements within the last 12 months) Willingness to become a practice supervisor / assessor to or meet Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for student supervision and assessment Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of the NMC code of conduct and the proficiencies and standards for registered nurses can apply this to undergraduate training or postgraduate practice Being an accountable professional Promoting health and preventing ill health Assessing needs and planning care Providing and evaluating care Leading and managing nursing care and working in teams -- including prioritisation and delegation skills Coordinating care and responding to deteriorating health Improving safety and quality of care Awareness of current relevant clinical and professional issues and NHS policy Understanding / experience of the principles of Safeguarding and Mental Capacity Awareness of Health and Safety issues.
