We have opportunities for both experienced Band 6 Inpatient midwives, and Preceptorship midwives. Please see correlating Job Description for full duties. Preceptorship Program

at ESTH helps early career midwives build skills, knowledge, and confidence as they move into their Band 6 role. Led by our Preceptorship Midwives, it offers tailored support to help new midwives meet clinical and professional standards. The program includes: Professional Development program supporting progression to Band 6 Midwife Holistic Support: The program includes a combination of practical training, mentorship, peer support, and reflective practice, giving early career midwives the tools and confidence they need to succeed Structured Learning: Regular review points ensure support is tailored to individual needs Experienced staff will benefit from ongoing professional support at ESTH. Our skilled PMA team, wider management, and specialist midwives work together to promote a positive culture for career growth, ensuring all staff feel valued. About Us

Our maternity team provides a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, offering comprehensive and high-quality care to women and their families. We are committed to promoting woman-centred care, having a well-rounded team who provide individualised care to a diverse population. We care for approximately 4,300 women annually across our two sites, utilising digital maternity systems Comprehensive Service Offering: Includes assisted conception, community services, obstetric-led labour wards, co-located birth centres, specialist midwifery teams, and our home birth team. Positive Feedback: Women and families consistently report positive experiences, highlighting the quality of care provided. The 2024 Maternity Benchmark survey demonstrated ESTH performed above average, particularly in postnatal care. Active Improvement Culture: There are ongoing improvement projects that aim to enhance service delivery and workforce development. Collaboration with Local Maternity Systems ESTH provides a range of medical services to approximately 490,000 people living across South West London and North East Surrey. We serve an area that is rich in diversity, with a mix of urban and rural areas, and differing levels of quality of life. We cover some of the most prosperous postcodes in the country, as well as some poorer areas. Qualifications

Registered Midwife NLS NIPE Additional higher education or relevant qualifications undertaken Evidence of CPD Experience

Experience in all maternity clinical areas (Antenatal, Intrapartum, Postnatal) Confident with multidisciplinary working Experience in continuity of carer team Experience or placements in wider maternity specialities Skills/Knowledge

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good knowledge of fetal monitoring practice Knowledge of obstetric emergency management Awareness of National guidelines and evidence-based practice Additional externally acquired skills, e.g., aromatherapy, biomechanics Cannulation, Suturing or IV administration experience Experience working with Maternity IT systems (e.g., CERNER, Badgernet) Disclosure and Barring Service Check
