As a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with various musculoskeletal conditions. The role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment aimed at improving patient function, alleviating pain, and enhancing mobility. This will be achieved through a range of physiotherapy techniques including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and evidence-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment & Diagnosis:

Carry out thorough assessments of musculoskeletal conditions, including joint pain, arthritis, muscle strains, sports injuries, spinal issues, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Treatment & Rehabilitation:

Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, joint mobilisations, soft tissue techniques, therapeutic exercises, and ergonomic advice to aid recovery and restore function. Patient Education:

Educate patients about their condition, injury prevention strategies, and self-management techniques. Develop individualized exercise programs for patients to follow both in-clinic and at home to support their recovery. Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

Work alongside other healthcare professionals, including GPs, orthopaedic surgeons, occupational therapists, and physiotherapy colleagues, to deliver comprehensive, holistic care. Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure coordinated treatment. Documentation & Record Keeping:

Ensure all patient records are clear, accurate, and updated regularly. Track patient progress, make adjustments to treatment plans where necessary, and maintain effective documentation according to organizational standards. Continuous Professional Development:

Keep up to date with the latest advancements in physiotherapy through CPD and professional development opportunities.

Key Skills & Experience:

HCPC Registration:

Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Experience:

Demonstrated experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with a solid understanding of the assessment and treatment of various musculoskeletal conditions. Treatment Techniques:

Proficient in a wide range of physiotherapy treatments, including manual therapy, joint mobilisations, exercise therapy, and soft tissue techniques. Patient-Centred Approach:

Strong focus on tailoring care plans to meet the individual needs of each patient, ensuring the best possible outcomes. Team Collaboration:

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Time Management:

Ability to manage a varied caseload while maintaining a high standard of care.
