We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist, interested in expanding their clinical skills and experience working within South Essex Community Mental Health provision for adults in Brentwood locality. You will be working as part of a small friendly and skilful Occupational therapy team to provide focused Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to clients through 1:1 and group work. The OT team sits within the wider multi-disciplinary team providing holistic support for clients with complex and enduring mental health needs requiring secondary level mental health care. Working within this busy team environment you will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of clinical skills; including but not limited to undertaking OT assessments, care planning, delivering interventions - facilitating groups and individual sessions, and the supervision and appraisal of junior staff. Car driver - ability to travel across sites and boundaries to attend meetings etc. Skills/Experience
Experience as a qualified occupational therapist in mental health Experience in working closely and developing relationships with medical nursing social care tertiary providers and clinical staff Ability to produce clear, coherent and accurate clinical reports including ability to complete required electronic data systems for a variety of audience Experience of providing professional support/supervision and motivation of staff Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum plus HCA
