We are looking for a highly motivated Band 6 physiotherapist, DATC based in Farnham hospital. The post comprises of two 9-month rotations between Bentley Ward and the Day Assessment Unit. You will work within an MDT and closely with other community services, providing rehabilitation in 1:1 or group settings for care of the elderly with a wide range of pathologies including falls, fractures, medical, stroke, and complex chronic pathologies. You will be supported in the role by team leads who will steer the development of your role and clinical skills. We actively participate in clinical supervision, in-service training, and have an appraisal system to help develop you personally and in your CPD. We have a wide range of online training programmes to support your training needs and support students on placement from a number of universities. Pay Scheme: Agenda for Change. We cover a 7-day service and share out the shifts to cover the service from 8 am - 8 pm. Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will communicate effectively with all disciplines involved in patient care, ensuring effective multidisciplinary working. This includes discussing patient care, patient progress, and involvement in discharge planning. Help maintain accurate records in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and Trust and service standards and policies. Participate in clinical audit as part of our compliance in clinical governance. Represent the physiotherapy team at relevant ward rounds, meetings, and case conferences to ensure appropriate management and effective and timely discharge of patients. Attend staff meetings and actively participate, ensuring understanding of key information governance information. Complete thorough holistic assessments/treatments, including those patients who may have challenges with communication, cognitive impairments, behavioral problems, or complex multipathologies; gain valid consent and work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent to treatment. Appreciate cultural differences and take these into account when agreeing treatment plans with patients. Manage potentially stressful, upsetting, or emotional situations in an empathetic manner. Devise individualized physiotherapy management and/or treatment plans using clear, evidence-based clinical reasoning skills. Demonstrate the physical ability to carry out physiotherapy assessments and interventions, including manual physiotherapy techniques and therapeutic handling, which includes frequent light to moderate physical effort. Work as part of the team (both Physiotherapy team and wider MDT) to provide an efficient and effective service. Aid in supervising band 5 physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and students, supporting the development of their roles. Participate in the appraisal scheme as an appraisee and appraiser. Deputise for the team leader when required. Participate in training for physiotherapy and wider MDT. Be responsible for and actively record your own personal development, including participation in journal clubs, clinical supervision, in-service training, audit, and any external training courses. Ensure professional competence is maintained by participating in all CPD opportunities and maintaining a portfolio. Finally, participate in the weekend working rota. The Ideal Candidate

Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience across a variety of rotations.
