Access to learning and development tailored to your role An environment with flexible working options A working culture which encourages inclusion and diversity Free Parking Access to gym Shop, cafe and mess restaurant Main duties of the job The Physiotherapist working within the Defence Medical Rehabilitation (rehab) Plan is to ensure the provision of a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This includes undertaking highly skilled and specialist work in the musculoskeletal/sports and training injury area. To provide a positive caring environment, in which patients can expect a high-quality professional service. Provide full support to the line manager in ensuring the provision of a comprehensive and professional rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This will include undertaking highly skilled and specialist work, peer review and support to Junior/other physiotherapists and Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor (ERIs) working within the Unit. Job responsibilities To perform highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners, other Healthcare Professionals and by direct access requests with diverse presentations and complex and acute/chronic physical conditions and sports injuries. To use clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis. To formulate, develop and deliver a specialised individualised treatment programme based upon evidence-based practice, manual assessment, and appropriate clinical reasoning. To communicate effectively with patients to ensure informed consent. The successful candidate will participate in weekly Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings with staff to discuss patients undergoing treatment. Selection Process This is a Reserved post and

Person Specification Essential Qualifications: Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP). State Registered Physiotherapist (HCPC) Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy. Experience: Must have relevant experience in the assessment and treatment of Musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, and orthopaedic conditions. Completed the relevant courses and experience that would be equivalent to graduate diploma level of study.
