Location : Wiltshire:Community Podiatry (Integrated and Community Care (I&CC)
We are seeking a highly motivated and professional HCPC registered Podiatrist to provide high-quality podiatric care for patients with pathological foot conditions and those at risk of developing serious foot health complications. The role involves working in a variety of settings, including community clinics and patients’ homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ feet and lower limbs, listening to their concerns and understanding their needs.
- Diagnose and manage a range of podiatric conditions, providing tailored treatments that suit each individual.
- Collaborate with patients to develop personalized care plans that empower them to take charge of their foot health.
- Educate patients on prevention strategies and self-care techniques, helping them understand the importance of foot health.
- Keep accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with NHS standards.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to help us continually enhance our services.
- Regular effective communication with GP’s, Allied Health Professional’s, Tissue Viability Nurses, District Nurses, Practice Nurse’s, Multi Disciplinary Teams, Health Visitors, Carers, Social Services and peers to ensure coordinated delivery of care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Podiatry
- HCPC registration as a Podiatrist.
- Previous experience in a Band 5 role with a preceptorship to Band 6.
- Experience in managing a varied podiatric caseload.
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and clinical skills.
- Strong communication skills, with a genuine interest in connecting with patients and colleagues.
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to working as part of a team.
