Band 6 - Senior Sexual Health Nurse/Midwife An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced band 6 senior sexual health nurse or midwife to join the team at Florey Clinic. The Florey provides an integrated contraceptive and sexual health service in Reading, Wokingham, and West Berkshire. The service is fast-paced, and this is a fantastic opportunity to develop within a supportive and friendly environment. The post holder will require experience within the specialty and will be expected to provide excellent and compassionate care to patients requiring both contraceptive and sexual health care. We are looking for a dynamic, innovative individual with excellent communication skills who is passionate about providing excellent, non-judgemental care. Main duties of the job

The post holder is responsible for developing, implementing, and reviewing planned nursing care, and for the maintenance of associated records for patients in the given clinical area. The post holder works as an effective team member, assisting in the management and the organization of work as required. The post holder displays effective communication skills and works as a role model for good practice, supporting and developing students and more junior colleagues as required. About us

NMC Registered Nurse or Midwife Accredited course in GU medicine or completion of internal development documentation Completed FSRH diploma or accredited university equivalent Experience

Recent clinical experience in specialty area Experience in mentoring, facilitation, teaching, assessing, coaching Experience of leadership activities Experience of involvement in Change Management Other

Some understanding of HR Policies and Procedures Knowledge of COSHH procedures and Risk Management Good IT Skills Disclosure and Barring Service Check
