Main duties of the job Prepare, store and use reagents and consumables in a manner suitable for patient investigations. Perform manual laboratory procedures such as precision pipetting, reagent preparation, and complex analytical procedures. Undertake technical validation of complex results from laboratory investigations to ensure accuracy and precision as specified by laboratory protocols. Calibrate, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot expensive and complex hardware and software.

Person Specification Experience Essential Practised as a Registered Biomedical Scientist. Aware of or experience using Helena SAS-3 and Abbott Architect. Qualifications Essential HCPC registration. Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent. Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
