We are recruiting for one 12-month fixed-term vacancy at CAMEO, a Personality Disorder service based at HMP Foston Hall. CAMEO is a specialist, intensive day treatment personality disorder service for high-risk women with complex needs. The service offers a range of psychological interventions, aiming to alleviate distress for the individual, improve emotional regulation, and reduce levels of risk. CAMEO is part of the Offender Personality Disorder Pathway (OPD) and is a partnership service between BSMHFT, HMPPS, and Anawim, a third sector Women's charity. Our services are passionate about providing person-centered, trauma-informed care, and providing the best possible care experience for our service users.
We welcome applications from people interested in working with complex presentations, balancing clinical need with risk management. A core part will be to work alongside colleagues from a range of disciplines sharing psychological knowledge and consistently improving the psychological mindedness of the service. We are looking for people from diverse backgrounds with an interest in working with and enhancing the lives of people who have experienced adverse life experiences and have a history of offending behavior.
Main duties of the job Post holders, under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, will assist in delivering a range of individual and group interventions addressing emotional, behavioral, and relational factors to improve service users' recovery and well-being. The post holders will support the direct assessment, formulation, and delivery of interventions to address the full range of complex forensic mental health problems. They will also contribute to the production of risk assessments and provide psychologically informed advice and support for those directly involved in the care of the individual. They would also support training, supervision, and evaluation of the delivery of individual behavioral management plans, risk management activity, and service user involvement. The post holders should have some experience in providing supervision to a staff group and be able to identify and coordinate the need for systemic support. Ideally, post holders may also have a background in some of the following: teaching, counseling, social work, family work, or nursing.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Degree in Education (PGCE or equivalent), Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychotherapy, RMN, Occupational Therapy, Art Therapy, with significant years of professional practice.
Experience Essential Recognize relevance and application of evidence-based practice and evidence of CPD. Experience of working with individuals with complex emotional and behavioral difficulties. Experience in delivering individual psychological interventions. Experience in delivering group psychological interventions. Recent experience in a mental health or equivalent setting.
Skills Essential Ability to reflect on clinical practice/intervention. Understanding the needs and demands of working with clients with complex developmental and social backgrounds. Understanding the impact of social circumstance, race, ethnicity, culture, and gender on personality development. Ability to work effectively with service user representatives.
