VANRATH are pleased to be recruiting for an Accountant for a well-respected public sector client, based in the Belfast area. This role would be ideal for a Qualified Accountant who is immediately available and looking for a new challenge.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible to the Senior Management Accountant for the provision of financial and costing information and advice to individual Executive Directors, senior operational managers, clinicians and budget managers within the relevant Programme of Care, supporting them in maintaining good financial management, control and governance and the effective use of resources to achieve financial balance.

Duties are as follows: Financial planning and Reporting Budget setting and Control Corporate Financial Reporting Support Service to Budget Managers and Key Stakeholders Commitment to maximising effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery People Management providing leadership to financial support staff Information Management * A full job specification will be provided to suitably experienced candidates.

The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Chartered Accountant (minimum of 2 years PQE) Excellent IT/systems skills Exposure to budgets, financial reporting and staff management Ability to analyse highly complex/sensitive data and to communicate subsequent analysis. Ability to provide effective leadership to a team. Effective Communications skills to meet the needs of the post in full. Effective Planning & Organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload. Ability to review and challenge work processes and policies in own area and beyond. Ability to identify solutions to problems and implement them effectively. Ability to work to tight timescales whilst meeting targets. Demonstrate a commitment to the provision of high quality and effective services with an ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement. Reduced notice period or immediate availability to commence assignment.

Remuneration:

c.£42,000 - 49,000.
