An exciting opportunity has arisen for a colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist. This post would suit someone who is highly motivated and looking for an opportunity to develop further. We are seeking a compassionate, dynamic and motivated individual to join our well-established and supportive colorectal CNS team. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be highly developed as they are integral to your success in providing the highest standard of care and support to patients with colorectal cancer diagnosis, as is the ability to manage distressing situations involving patients and careers and act as a key worker to ensure a single point of contact during a complex pathway. The post holder will work autonomously as part of the multidisciplinary team and also develop positive and collaborative relationships. This position provides an excellent role for a registered nurse who has experience in either Cancer services, Surgery, and or Endoscopy. It provides a new exciting challenge for an individual who is looking to gain experience or a career in specialist nursing practice. Main duties of the job

Provide advice and support to patients undergoing colorectal cancer investigations and surgery. Demonstrate a high level of clinical decision making and an ability to monitor and improve standards of care within the Colorectal service. Influence patient care with a multi-faceted approach that includes clinical expertise, teaching, and research. Person specification

Qualifications / Knowledge

NMC Registered Nurse Advanced communication course Degree in Autonomous/ Clinical Practice Experience

Relevant acute care experience, including proven experience in cancer services, surgery/endoscopy. Interest in clinical Research. Skills
