Must have relevant skills/knowledge/experience in the range of ultrasound techniques which are required. IT experience to use the necessary computerised reporting system and image recording system. Must be prepared to assist with the development of the service and protocols. To be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of the clinical skills required and the operation of all ultrasound scanners demonstrating expertise in clinical practice and highly specialist knowledge. Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent, have a post-graduate accredited qualification in medical ultrasound. Must be state registered (HCPC or NMC) when eligible or Register of Clinical Technologists (RCT). Experience
Must have relevant skills/knowledge/experience in the range of ultrasound techniques which are required. To possess a full understanding of ethical and moral issues to enable delivery of bad news to patients in an appropriate/empathetic manner. Highly specialist knowledge of ultrasound procedures. An understanding of the principles of the development and modernisation of the NHS, particularly in relation to imaging and the education of the healthcare workforce. IT experience to use the necessary computerised reporting system and image recording system. Must be prepared to assist with the development of the service and protocols.
