The successful candidate will work as part of the Community service across Barnet, Enfield, Haringey, Camden, and Islington. The service provides support to
Adults
on Mental Health pathways within the Trust, displaying various
complex Speech, Language, Communication, Eating, Drinking, and Swallowing needs
as well as various
Mental Health conditions . This is a
Full-time
opportunity for the duration of
6 Months
with the likelihood of extension. Part-time applications will also be considered.

The post holder will work as part of the Multidisciplinary Team to engage, support, and encourage service users to live independently. Key Responsibilities: The postholder will provide highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy services to service users who have a variety of complex speech, language, communication, eating, drinking, and swallowing needs; with diverse presentations and a range of mental health conditions, cognition, and/or learning disabilities in order to facilitate optimum communication and safe nutrition and hydration. The postholder will ensure the highest standards of care and professional conduct are maintained. This includes promoting evidence-based practice and delivering high-quality service to service users and their caregivers. The postholder will be accountable for their own caseload, working independently and providing comprehensive care. They will oversee the implementation, monitoring, and auditing of appraisal systems, clinical supervision, and training for all physiotherapy staff within the team. Additionally, they will lead clinical audits, professional practice development, quality improvement, and service enhancements.
