You will be responsible for day-to-day leadership and management, as well as some inpatient bed management within gastroenterology. You will be supported in the role by a head of nursing to assist you in your personal growth and development alongside department/service improvement plans. You should have experience in governance, rota management, and budget management.
This post requires a real commitment to the principles of devolution of decision-making to clinical teams, working closely with the Specialty Clinical Lead and Specialty Manager.
The post holder will provide visible, accessible leadership to all clinical areas within their given area of responsibility.
The post holder will ensure that the professional aspects of nursing within the wards and departments are adhered to and provide senior nursing support to the Specialty as required.
