We are looking for caring professional dental nurses to join the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust based Dental Service (Special Care & Community Dental Service). The dental team provides a variety of dental services to the population of Cumbria. A vacancy has arisen for a Band 4 Dental Nurse (Bank) based at Kendal Dental Centre. The vacancy is to support our Emergency Dental Service which is run from Kendal Dental Centre Westmorland General Hospital, Monday -Friday evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. The sessions run from Monday - Friday 17:45-21:45 and Saturday- Sunday and Bank Holidays 08:15- 12:15. This service offers emergency dental care to the population of Cumbria. The successful applicants must hold the National Certificate in Dental Nursing, NEBDN or equivalent qualification and be fully registered with the GDC to apply for this post and have clinical experience. The post holder will be required to be flexible to ensure that we can deliver the Emergency Dental Service over weekend and Bank holidays. Main duties of the job
To provide clinical and clerical support to Trust employed Dental Practitioners Operating in the Partnership Special Care & Community Dental Service in Cumbria. To be the link between the patient and the clinician. To prepare the surgery for the patient and assist the dentist in a range of dental treatment To undertake reception duties and carry out administrative and filing duties (either electronically or paper-based) within the Emergency Dental Service with Kendal Dental Centre Able to follow instructions.
