Bank Hand Therapist | Murrayfield Hospital, Edinburgh | Competitive rates of pay Spire Murrayfield Hospital is recruiting for a Hand Therapist to join the bank and provide exemplary planned care for patients. Duties and responsibilities: To take the lead role in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal/ Hand and Wrist patients Provide specialist education and teaching To contribute towards departmental research and audit in this clinical area To ensure the teams deliver effective care to clients, presenting with musculoskeletal injuries by providing excellent clinical and organisational leadership To act as a Specialist Hand Therapist resource for the multi-disciplinary team within Spire Healthcare To promote and assist in marketing of service developments to GP’s, Consultants and external agencies To undertake evidence based projects, including recommendations for changes in practice Who we're looking for: Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapist) or equivalent Post-Graduate learning in musculoskeletal programme Post graduate experience in Hand Therapy Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied caseloads Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solutions for new services Competence across a range of Hand Therapy, management and leadership skills supported by highly skilled professional and specialist knowledge in the field of MSK Benefits: Bank colleagues are paid weekly We offer competitive rates to our bank colleagues who work on a flexible basis, often to cover busy periods, sickness, or annual leave Save an average of £50 per month with our free onsite car park Access to Spire Healthcare pension Access to Blue Light Card discounts Free uniform Free DBS Full induction, including mandatory training updates Opportunities for further training and progression into permanent posts Knowledge, support and guidance through your recruitment journey from Spire’s specialist Resourcing Team We commit to our employees well-being through work life balance, on-going development, support and reward.
