What you'll be doing

As a Bank Mental Health Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. You will: Assist the mental health team in the delivery of immediate and, where appropriate, ongoing care for patients referred to the mental health team. You will be expected to support people to access care and treatment appropriately within the prison setting, working independently with lone working at times. Contribute to the positive and aspirational workings of the integrated mental health care team, ensuring that each and every patient is treated with care, respect, and dignity. Provide assistance with the delivery of mental healthcare needs within the Healthcare Department. Promote safe patient care. Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

You'll receive a bank hourly rate of £14.24.

Minimum Requirements: NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Excellent communication skills Good IT skills and IT literacy Ability to work within a busy environment Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
