Job overview

We are seeking to increase our team of motivated bank midwives at ASPH. Being a member of the staff bank allows you to be part of our valued team, but also gives you flexibility around your other commitments with attractive rates of payment. Within ASPH we have a range of services. We provide a homebirth service, have an alongside birthing centre, a level 3 Neonatal Unit, and a high-risk maternal and fetal medicine service. Working as a bank ASPH midwife will give you the opportunity to be skilled in all areas of midwifery. An MDT approach is always used within these services, and we work extremely closely with our NICU team to provide the best outcome for babies that require their care. We pride ourselves on our working culture, and the senior leadership team strives to improve the wellbeing and satisfaction of our colleagues. ASPH has recently opened a wellbeing hub, and staff will have the opportunity to access the onsite gym and other resources. If your application meets our essential criteria, we will conduct a ‘Teams’ interview with you at a convenient time. To find out more about our Maternity department, please take a look at our microsite, ASPH Maternity Department (asph-careers.org/maternity). Please contact our workforce lead midwife Claire Durkan if you would like any further information. Main duties of the job

Successful candidates can look forward to working within a dedicated multi-disciplinary team including specialist midwives, clinical support workers, obstetricians, ward clerks, nursing associates, and nurses.
