As an Orthopaedic Physiotherapist, you’ll be eager to continue learning and building skills while working with talented colleagues. Your role is to deliver “best practice” care to a wide variety of corporate and personal clients following Bupa clinical governance. You will provide a client-centred and evidence-based service to adult and very occasionally older paediatric inpatients to continue their therapy care on weekends and bank holidays. You will provide therapy for patients with oncology, neurological and general rehabilitation needs. You’ll help us make health happen by: Being responsible for the physiotherapy management of the patient load assigned to you and to practise as an accountable professional. Using reflective practise and clinical reasoning in undertaking specialist assessments in order to provide an individualised treatment programme for each patient in concurrence with the main physiotherapist’s plan during the week. Maintaining accurate, comprehensive and timely patient treatment records and also to record reasons if a patient was not seen. Managing clinical risk within your caseload at all times and ensure potential clinical risk is effectively communicated and managed. Liaising with nursing staff and assess or deal appropriately with any new admissions that are not on your handover list. Communicating the addition of new patients during the weekend to a relevant weekend or weekday Physiotherapist. Providing other weekend colleagues with assistance as your caseload and clinical competence allow. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Current registration with HCPC and CSP. Extensive post-graduate working experience in musculoskeletal medicine. Post-graduate qualifications preferential e.g. appropriate MSc, MACP. Experience of treating private patients and sports injuries. Excellent customer service skills and an understanding of the drivers of service excellence.
