To independently interpret, report and diagnose Radiology examinations such as musculo-skeletal, chest and abdominal, cross-sectional, Nuclear Medicine or fluoroscopy imaging, the results of which will directly influence the management of the patient. You will provide care for patients attending the general Radiology Department and specialist areas as identified in your role. You will normally work without direct clinical supervision but will report to the Senior Superintendent Radiographers within the Directorate. To supervise junior staff and carry out routine radiographic examinations both within and outside of the department to the standards required, and in a manner which maintains the care and safety of patients and the safety of others. In addition, dependent on experience, you may undertake a range of specialised examinations such as CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy and be expected to work unsupervised in one or more of these areas from time to time. You will be required to participate in the provision of an out of hours service as required. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. Main duties of the job

Education/Qualifications / Training

BSc in Radiography or equivalent HCPC Registration Postgraduate certificate in Clinical Reporting Master's qualification or equivalent experience Experience

Relevant personal history of continuing professional development Significant post-qualification experience Relevant supervisory/management experience Ability to work with minimal supervision Skills

Good communication skills - ability to liaise competently with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds Previous history of training staff Knowledge

Evidence of participation in clinical audit Knowledge of quality assurance and radiation safety policies and procedures Personal Attributes

Highly motivated Dedicated and open to flexibility within the post Keen to progress professionally Ability to speak Welsh Disclosure and Barring Service Check
