Banking & Finance Solicitor

Title: Banking & Finance Solicitor Location: Bristol (Exeter) Salary: £61-65,000 DOE. Our client, a well-regarded organisation in the legal sector, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Banking & Finance Solicitor to join their dynamic team in Bristol (or Exeter). This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with 0-2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to grow and develop within a thriving environment. In this role, you will work closely with one of the partners, gaining exposure to a diverse range of clients, including lenders and borrowers across various sectors such as technology, healthcare, energy and resource management, marine, and commercial and residential development. The team specialises in both bilateral and syndicated lending, handling UK and cross-border transactions that encompass acquisition finance, real estate finance, structured lending, asset and project finance, and invoice discounting. From day one, you will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload and engage directly with clients, allowing you to develop your legal expertise and enhance your career progression. Who You Are: Have prior experience, either through a training contract or in a newly qualified role, within a successful banking team. Possess a sound understanding of various banking transactions, allowing for a smooth transition into this new position. Be an exceptional communicator, who will confidently interact with a wide range of clients, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity while effectively managing their matters. Have the ability to build strong, lasting relationships. Be resilient and capable of handling stressful situations, accustomed to working under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Have a tenacious and thorough approach, alongside good commercial judgement, who will strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients in challenging circumstances.
