Title: Banking Principal Associate Solicitor 8+PQE Location: Birmingham Salary: £80-100,000 DOE. Are you an experienced Banking Solicitor looking for your next challenge? The Role: As part of the Banking & Finance team, you will collaborate closely with corporate banking partners and play a pivotal role in advising a diverse clientele, including banks, lenders, fund managers, and institutional clients. Your responsibilities will encompass: Offering guidance on all aspects of finance and security issues across various sectors, such as asset-based lending, leveraged finance, corporate lending, real estate finance, and capital markets. Supporting the corporate team with funding issues related to mergers and acquisitions, and collaborating with commercial and real estate departments on portfolio property refinances and related matters. Drafting and preparing key documents necessary for transaction processes. Engaging in marketing efforts to attract new clients and maintain relationships with existing ones. Your client base will include prominent clearing banks, debt funds, international banks, and AIM-listed businesses, providing a rich variety of work. A key growth area for the team is engaging with international banks and debt funds operating from London. The Person: To succeed in this role, you will have: At least 8 years of post-qualification experience gained in a reputable firm specialising in banking and finance. A strong technical background with a focus on the banking sector. Exceptional written English skills for effective drafting. Good time management and file management capabilities. Strong negotiation skills and a self-starting attitude. Attention to detail and the ability to foster strong working relationships with clients. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capability to project manage and lead a team effectively.
