About the Venue The Boulevard is a 400 capacity late night music venue that has been described as the local hub for live music in Wigan, incorporating strong live bands, regular tribute acts, DIY gigs and international touring bands all playing alongside the best local talent. General Trading Hours: Monday, CLOSED Tuesday, CLOSED Wednesday, CLOSED Thursday, 8pm - 3am Friday, 8pm - 5am Saturday, 5:30pm - 5am Sunday, CLOSED Opening times may be earlier depending on the live events schedule but closing times generally remain the same with the exception of a few key dates throughout the year. Shifts can include up to 2 hours prior to opening and up to one hour after closing. The venue also opens on bank holiday Sundays and extra days during the festive period. The venue is closed on Christmas Day and New Years Day. Job Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. You will be responsible for crafting a variety of beverages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring that the bar and customer areas are well-maintained and organised. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and customer areas, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Engage with customers to provide exceptional service, take orders, and offer recommendations based on their preferences. Monitor customer behaviour to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with licensing laws. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies. Experience Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively while maintaining high service standards. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions.
