Base24 Engineer - 3 Month Contract - Inside IR35 - Hybrid
Join a leading building society as a Base24 Engineer on an initial 3-month contract with the potential for extension. This role offers a competitive daily rate (inside IR35) and the flexibility of hybrid working, with the main office based in Swindon.
You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing critical payment processing systems within a dynamic and innovative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Base24 software applications.
Implement and support ATM/POS projects initiated by the business, migration from Base24 classic to Base24 EPS, card schemes, and other regulatory changes.
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues and service incidents.
Implement updates, patches, and configuration changes to optimize system performance and security.
What you will ideally bring:
Strong experience in programming languages such as TAL, Cobol, and S-Cobol.
Comprehensive understanding of Base24 engineering including ATM/POS functionality, transaction switching, VISA and LINK interfaces, and EMV standards.
Hands-on experience with HP NonStop systems and tools such as VersaTest and XPNET.
Proficient in Pathway/Pathcom, Enscribe, TMF, FUP, Enform, EMS, Batchcom, Device Handlers, Internal/External Messages, NCPCOM, Extract/Refresh, NETADRD, AFT Screens, ICE:XS, Security, TSS, ACI Desktop, RMS, and RPQ methodology.

Duration: 3 months
Location: Swindon 2x per week/Remote
Daily Rate: Up to GBP500 Per Day (Inside IR35)
