Experienced Battery Performance Engineer - Oxford

Our client, a leading research and development company located in the heart of Oxfordshire, is seeking an experienced Battery Performance Engineer to join their team.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and play a vital role in developing the next generation of high-performance batteries.

Responsibilities: Develop battery cell technology. Conduct thermal electrochemical analysis. Optimize HV battery systems.

Qualifications Required for Battery Performance Engineer Role: We are looking for a candidate who holds a STEM degree and has relevant experience in battery performance engineering. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of battery cells, their structure, and their performance.

Skills Required for Battery Performance Engineer Role: Battery Cell Technology:

Hands-on experience working with cutting-edge technologies that support high-performance batteries. Responsible for developing new battery cell technologies and improving existing ones. Thermal, Electrical & Electrochemical Analysis:

Knowledge of heat transfer principles to determine optimal operating temperatures within complex electrical devices. Responsible for conducting thermal electrochemical & electrical analysis and optimizing thermal management systems. HV Batteries Systems Optimization:

Ability to optimize hybrid vehicle powertrains using data-driven approaches, testing, and simulation methodologies. Responsible for optimizing HV battery systems to ensure performance requirements are met. Experienced in data analysis using Matlab and have experience in systems modelling & simulation.

Salary, Package & Hybrid Working: We offer a competitive salary of £50k per annum, plus a pension, bonus, and private medical benefits.
