Position Overview: As a Battery Process Engineer Level 2 at EV Battery Solutions, you will play a key role in optimising and scaling our battery remanufacturing processes. You will lead efforts to improve efficiency, quality, and safety across all stages

of the remanufacturing workflow, from disassembly to testing and reassembly. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations while contributing to environmental sustainability goals. Responsibilities: Process Optimization: Lead efforts to optimise remanufacturing processes, including disassembly, inspection, testing, repair, and reassembly, to improve efficiency and quality. Workflow Analysis: Analyse workflow and identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the remanufacturing process. Develop and implement solutions to streamline operations and increase productivity. Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality standards and procedures for remanufactured batteries. Develop testing protocols and inspection criteria to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements. Equipment Evaluation and Implementation: Assist in evaluation, selection, and implementation of equipment and tools to enhance remanufacturing capabilities. Work with vendors and suppliers to source new equipment and technology as needed. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyse data on process performance, quality metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders. Utilize

structured problem-solving techniques such as DMAIC, Ishikawa, Five Why (5W), and Eight Disciplines (8D), use of statistical process control (SPC) ensuring processes operate efficiently. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process optimization techniques. Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement process

improvements. Training and Development: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for remanufacturing technicians and operators. Ensure that team members are adequately trained on new processes, equipment, and procedures. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all remanufacturing activities. Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in the work environment. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production, to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of process parameters, procedures, work instructions, and other relevant documentation and supporting production part approval process (PPAP) activities. Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a remanufacturing or manufacturing environment. Strong technical expertise in battery technology, including knowledge of battery chemistries, materials, and manufacturing processes. Experience of working on High Voltage electrical systems (up to 1500V dc). Proven track record of process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process optimization techniques. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software applications. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
