Norgine: Transforming Healthcare, Backed by Over a Century of Expertise. We have an exciting opportunity for a BD Commercial Evaluation Senior Manager to join Norgine. The person holding this position will report to the Senior Director and be a member of the C&BD team. The core responsibility of the Commercial Evaluation Senior Manager is to perform commercial evaluations/due diligence of new Business Development opportunities, build commercial models and provide evidence-based recommendations of the commercial potential to help Norgine make strategic investment decisions. This will be a permanent role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Manage and co-ordinate commercial assessment of new opportunities, ensuring due diligence is conducted to an appropriate level and ensure recommendations are evidence-based. Commercial assessments include analysis of existing market dynamics, primary and secondary market research, production of market and product (or company if company evaluation) sales forecast, competitive assessments of launched and pipeline products and other processes typically associated with new product evaluations. For opportunities that are in full due diligence, design and execute the most appropriate and flexible excel-based forecast model. Ensure all necessary documents are reviewed by appropriate functional heads and outputs packaged in an appropriate manner. Ensure all risks and opportunities are fully understood by the wider due diligence team, including impact to the commercial structure outlined at a global and local level. Be the representative for the commercial evaluation of the relevant opportunities at committees such as New Product Committee for BD (NPC-BD) and the Business Development Operations Committee (BDOC). Responsible for assisting in regularly updating project trackers to reflect the current status of projects. Where appropriate, as part of the due diligence exercise, help establish the integration plan ahead of deal signature. Evaluations to receive an appropriate level of detail for their stage in the Due Diligence process (i.e., early stage evaluations receiving a high-level assessment and later stage receiving a thorough assessment). Support the Search & Evaluation function with commercial insights to assess opportunities during the screening stage of the process. Support the Financial Analyst in building the financial model for opportunities, providing the necessary inputs & sensitivity analyses as required. Responsible for managing several commercial evaluations at any time, prioritising personal workload according to the needs of each opportunity. Ensure that the Sr. Director, Commercial Evaluation and C&BD Leadership Team are informed of all critical issues with new opportunities, and aligned on key issues; especially relating to the final recommendations. Support integration teams (where required) to ensure all assets are integrated as quickly and efficiently as possible. Supports the Sr. Director, Commercial Evaluation in looking for ways to improve Norgine’s Search and Commercial Evaluation capability, including seeking out best practices external to Norgine. Ensure Lessons Learned are captured and implemented for future opportunities. Where relevant, offer advice & provide guidance to other members of the Commercial Evaluation team on analytical skills and best practices. Minimum Requirements: 5+ years of prior experience in conducting commercial evaluations for business development opportunities in pharma. Require scientific background; MD PhD preferred. In-depth knowledge of pharma industry including strong understanding of the science plus strong commercial acumen, with in-depth knowledge of pricing and market access in Europe. Understanding of conducting due diligence exercises. Awareness of market access strategies and challenges. Hands-on experience of primary qualitative and quantitative market research. Significant experience of competitive intelligence activities. In-depth knowledge and use of key information databases including GlobalData, Evaluate Pharma, IMS. Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Strong project management and leadership skills in a matrix management structure to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget and to the highest quality standards. Excellent analytical and report writing skills combined with strong attention to detail. Excellent facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills. Our benefits may vary per location.
