The Beef Farm Manager will have full autonomy over the rearing and finishing unit of a 1000 head of cattle, managing all aspects of livestock care, feeding programs, bedding and health protocols. As the Beef Farm Manager, you will focus on upholding the highest production standards while optimising efficiency and implementing innovative practices to maximise performance. Prioritising animal welfare and operational presentation, you'll ensure the unit is impeccably maintained and meets auditable standards. Beef Farm Manager Role Responsibilities: The day to day management of the herd, ensuring that feeding and routine husbandry procedures are conducted to high production and welfare standards maximising DLWG. To implement and monitor herd health programmes - weights, health checks and worming. To maintain accurate record keeping and movement records on the farm management software. To ensure the farm operates in compliance with industry standards and adheres to established protocols. To support the wider agricultural business and ensure a clean, organised and well-maintained environment.

Skills you will need as the Beef Farm Manager: Essential: Proven experience of successfully managing ruminant production systems (beef or dairy). A strong knowledge and understanding of animal husbandry and health management. Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and keen eye for livestock welfare. Strong communication skills. Independent, happy to work autonomously but can collaborate well with a team when needed. Strong attention to detail with accurate record keeping and proficiency interpreting data. Dedicated with a strong sense of pride in the work undertaken. A driven mindset dedicated to personal growth and the continuous improvement of the unit. Proficient IT skills. UK driving license.
