The Behaviour Improvement Officer will report to the Student Manager and ensure the health and safety of all students in their care is a priority. Responsibilities include checking that students are in lessons at the designated times and raising any concerns with the Student Manager. Maintain a safe learning environment at all times, minimizing disruption to learning. Manage student conduct with positive reinforcement adhering to school policies. Liaise with other staff members to ensure that plans are put in place to support the students. Work with departments within the school and outside agencies as required. Preferred Skills: Relevant experience of working in a similar setting or a coaching/mentoring qualification. Ability to deescalate difficult situations in a calm and professional manner. Good understanding of the responsibility for personal health, safety, and welfare of students. Ability to prioritize work schedules and multitask. Hold a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one.
