As part of the L&D Team, the Behaviour Management Trainer will provide professional support to Aspris; acting as a reliable source of information and advice on Team Teach training requirements, processing all related administration within agreed timescales and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include:
Acting as Behaviour Management Trainer for Aspris and developing relationships with regional operational colleagues and services. Taking responsibility for the delivery of the Aspris Restraint Reduction Strategy to ensure the principles of person-centred care, improvement in individuals’ lives, and ongoing reduction of restrictive practices are central to the ethos and culture across the business. Providing regional training support to services with some national travel when required. Assisting the Behaviour Management Manager in the implementation of behavioural strategies and Restraint Reduction Strategy to ensure the development of a person-centred culture across Aspris, and personalised strategies for all children and young people which are least restrictive, evidence-based, and effective. Working with the Behaviour Management Manager, operational colleagues, and the senior management team to drive the strategy implementation plan, oversee agreed actions, and work to a continuous improvement model, reviewing and monitoring success and adjusting where necessary. Identifying areas of good practice, supporting development into excellent practice, and facilitating practice sharing across the organisation. Working with the Behaviour Management Manager in the development of an oversight and monitoring process for the sign-off of restrictive practices and how these are audited. Ensuring time-bound audits take place regarding restrictive physical interventions in line with RRN standards requirements and leading on the implementation of action plans that emerge as a result of the audits. Working with the Behaviour Management Manager to ensure an annual regional restrictive practice audit takes place and coordinating the implementation of action plans that emerge because of the audit. Developing and being responsible for ensuring the roll-out and maintenance of a Team Teach training programme for service-based colleagues to ensure they are equipped to work with individuals in a way that is supportive of and congruent with Aspris values. The role sits within our Central Learning & Development Team in Leicester, but the post holder will be based remotely. A valid UK driving licence is essential for the role with regional and some national travel. There may be a requirement for overnight stays when training and attending meetings in Aspris offices.
