About the Role: Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in Chesham. The successful candidate will work with students who require additional support to manage their behaviour, helping to create a positive learning environment that promotes engagement and emotional well-being. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on students' academic and personal development by providing tailored support to help them thrive in school.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviour, helping them develop positive coping strategies. Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to identify students' needs and create individual behaviour support plans. Support students in developing self-regulation and social skills to improve classroom behaviour and school interactions. Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback and setting achievable goals. Implement strategies to support students both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring they feel supported and engaged. Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for students who may be at risk of exclusion or disengagement from education. Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure consistency and support in addressing behavioural challenges.

Ideal Candidate: Experience working with students in a similar behaviour mentor role, particularly within a secondary school setting. A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with challenging behaviour. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and parents. Experience with behaviour management strategies and supporting students with additional learning needs (SEN). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A commitment to promoting positive student outcomes and well-being. A relevant qualification in education or psychology would be desirable but not essential.
