Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them regulate their behaviour and develop positive coping strategies. Build trusting relationships with students, acting as a positive role model and mentor. Implement behaviour management strategies effectively, using de-escalation techniques when required. Support students in the classroom, ensuring they remain engaged and focused on their learning. Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to develop and implement tailored behaviour support plans. Assist with activities and interventions that promote social, emotional, and academic development. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to staff and parents/carers as needed. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a behaviour support role, ideally within a PRU, SEND, or SEMH setting. Strong behaviour management skills, with experience in de-escalation and crisis management. Training in Team Teach, MAPA, or other behaviour management programmes (preferred but not essential). A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with young people with challenging behaviours. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
