Behaviour Mentor: Smile Education is collaborating with a vibrant secondary school near Lichfield to find a dedicated behaviour mentor to join their team, starting as soon as possible. If you’re passionate about supporting students and maintaining an engaging classroom environment, we encourage you to get in touch.

As a Secondary School mentor, you will be a crucial part of supporting students' emotional, social, and behavioral development in a secondary school. You will work closely with students facing challenges, offering guidance, strategies, and interventions to help them improve their conduct and self-regulation. By fostering positive relationships, collaborating with teachers, and providing a safe space for students to express themselves, you will help create a supportive learning environment. Your role will include developing individualized plans, running group sessions, and liaising with parents or external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to students' well-being and success.

The successful candidate must have:

A bachelor’s degree in education, a related field, or relevant experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience working with children. SEN experience would be a plus. A genuine passion for supporting students and motivating them to excel. Tasks Required:

Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to students struggling with behavioral or emotional issues. Develop and implement behavior management strategies and individualized action plans. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to promote students' overall well-being and progress. Report any safeguarding allegations and ensure a safe classroom environment.
