About the role:
Work closely with young people with challenging behaviour to help them overcome their challenges
Provide support and mentoring during difficult times
Act as a positive role model by setting a good example
Provide one-to-one or small group support
Support or lead intervention groups targeted at students with challenging behaviour or SEMH issues
Maintain close contact with class teachers and other members of the behavioural teaching team to inform them of student progress
About the provision - Behaviour Mentor - Southwark
Teach 360 is working with a PRU located in Croydon that provides services for children unable to attend mainstream school due to disabilities. Schools refer students needing more care and support than they can provide.
Students who attend a PRU might be:
Permanently excluded from mainstream school or at risk of exclusion for behaviour reasons
Experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties, including anger and mental health issues
Subjected to severe bullying
Diagnosed with special educational needs (SEN) or in the process of diagnosis
