Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic Middlesbrough School for a confident Behaviour Support Specialist. The role will require you to work alongside a class teacher to support learning, and you may also be expected to work 1:1 with children across multiple year groups.

If you have a passion for working with children or a background in care, and you can reliably commute to Sunderland, we would love to hear from you!

The ideal candidate will be able to:

Work effectively as part of a team within the classroom ensuring that all the children are looked after and learning from the taught content. Work 1:1 with children with SEN. Work coherently with teachers in providing support for students. Have a passion for assisting students. Be enthusiastic and proactive in the classroom. Have experience working 1:1 with children who have barriers to learning (ASD, ADHD, PMLD, VI, HI). Have experience working within an SEN school setting or social care. Promote and encourage independence and personal development.

Successful candidates may have experience in any of the following:

Scouts Leadership Sports Coaching Challenging Behaviour Settings Health and Social Care Settings 1:1 Support SEN TA Educational Settings

What Teaching Personnel offer:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
