you will play a pivotal role in implementing behaviour management strategies and supporting students in achieving their educational goals. Your role will involve working closely with students, teachers, and external professionals to ensure a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities of the
Behaviour Support Worker
: Implement behaviour support plans (BSPs) from teachers and the SENCO
to manage challenging behaviours consistently and effectively. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them understand and manage their emotions and actions in different situations. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment by encouraging and reinforcing good behaviour and social skills among students. Work closely with teachers, the SENCO,
and outside professionals to develop and review behaviour strategies that meet each student's needs. Keep track of student behaviour and progress, maintaining clear records and sharing feedback with teachers and parents/guardians when needed. Assist teachers in keeping a productive learning space by using proactive strategies and providing support during lessons. Requirements of the
Behaviour Support Worker
: Experience working with students who have behavioural challenges in schools or similar environments. Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies. Empathy, patience, and resilience to support students in managing their behaviour and emotions effectively. Good communication and interpersonal skills to work well with students, staff, and parents/guardians. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, helping to create a positive school community. Have an
