£90-£95 Day Rate We are recruiting for an Alternative Provision in East Sussex. We are inviting an inspirational Teaching Assistant – Mentor to be part of a dedicated team. The school caters for 4–16-year-olds excluded from mainstream education and is focused on enhancing and expanding services to meet their needs. Day to day of the role:
Support pupils in accessing lessons and overcoming educational and social challenges. Provide both classroom and pastoral support, collaborating with teachers to create impactful learning programs. Serve as a supportive pastoral contact for all pupils and assist tutors as part of the tutor team. Supervise classes during staff absences, ensuring the delivery of quality education. Foster and advocate for meaningful relationships with young people who have faced barriers in mainstream education. Required Skills & Qualifications:
A naturally enthusiastic, flexible, and supportive approach to education. Previous experience working with children or young people. Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to connect with students. A keen willingness to learn and pursue professional development.
