About the Role: As Behaviour Support Worker your role will be to contribute to the daily provision of high-quality pastoral care. This includes monitoring standards and patterns of behaviour and discipline, attendance, and punctuality. You will need to have a good understanding

of the school's behaviour policy and be able to support staff in implementing this. You will: · Supervise and monitor the movement of students around the site during lesson times returning students who are absent without permission to classrooms · Supervise students across the site during lunch time · Support the operation and monitoring of the Internal Exclusion and Restorative rooms as appropriate · Support the effective operation of the on-call system to remove students from lessons as necessary · Under supervision provide mentoring and tailored literacy and numeracy catch-up interventions which are evidenced based and therapeutic to students on a 1:1 and small group basis About you: You should have level 2 qualifications or equivalent in English and Maths together with experience of working with children in a pastoral role You should also have a commitment to the school's Equal Opportunities Policy The ability to be able to lead 1:1 or group intervention sessions on behaviour would be an advantage Additional Information: We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.
