Details: Start Date: September Responsible to: Teacher Location: Bournemouth Hours of work: Full-Time Contract Type: Permanent Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with behavioural difficulties, promoting positive behaviour management strategies. Work closely with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized behaviour plans, ensuring the needs of all students are met. Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging self-confidence and self-regulation skills. Utilize a range of intervention techniques to de-escalate challenging situations and promote a calm and supportive learning environment. Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to provide comprehensive support for students with complex behavioural needs. Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational setting. Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents/carers. Resilience and adaptability to respond effectively to challenging situations. A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
