Benefit Risk Lead

(Patient Safety Lead) who is passionate, agile, and detail-oriented to strengthen our

Patient Benefit Risk and Medical Safety Unit team (Patient Safety and pharmacovigilance)

to be based in one of our hubs in

Braine l'Alleud, Belgium; Slough, UK or Raleigh, US .

About the role:

The Benefit Risk Lead will be accountable for the strategic planning, communication, and delivery of benefit-risk assessments and risk management strategy for assigned assets/candidates.

Who you'll work with:

You will work transversally with multiple UCB stakeholders to drive the safety strategies and support their implementation to manage the Benefit Risk for assigned assets/candidates. In this role, you'll also partner with patients to ensure a meaningful benefit risk strategy.

What you'll do: Analyze and interpret various sources of safety data (e.g. regulatory, clinical, submission, legal, product quality) to identify potential new risks for the assigned assets/candidates. Driving the assigned asset specific safety strategy. Implement safety monitoring and risk management strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Plan, author and review documents in accordance with global regulatory submission requirements. Provide valuable insights to inform internal governance and decision-making bodies on benefit-risk assessments. Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience, and skills: MD, PhD, PharmD, DVM or other relevant advanced degree. Experience in clinical development, pharmacovigilance and risk management. Strong knowledge of international regulations governing drug safety. Excellent English scientific writing and communication skills. Demonstrated leadership skills in a matrix environment. Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary cross-functional project teams and to make ethical decisions aligned with UCB's values and co-create with patients.
