Our client is a leading provider of generator solutions, dedicated to delivering top-quality power products and services to their clients. They are now looking for a Service Engineer to join their Colchester branch due to the growth of the business. Successful candidates will maintain and repair generators whilst providing exceptional customer service. In return, they are paying up to £52,000, pay door to door and a generous holiday package.
Service Engineer Job Overview
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of generator systems and associated equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure efficient operation. Provide on-site support and guidance to clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction Maintain accurate records of service activities and report findings to management. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve service procedures and product performance Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies.
Service Engineer Job Requirements
Proven experience as a Service Engineer, preferably in the generator or power systems industry. Strong technical knowledge of generator systems and electrical engineering principles. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed. Relevant certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) are advantageous
Service Engineer Salary & Benefits
Salary: £15- £20 an hour Working hours: 45-50 hours, door to door. 8-hour day. Overtime 1.5 Monday- Saturday, 2 x Sunday. Holiday Package: 22 days holiday plus 8 days bank holiday paid (after 1 year holiday increases by 1 day per year for every full year completed up to a maximum of 25 days plus 8 days bank holiday). £25 meal allowance, £15 staying away allowance. Company Vehicle - Fuel card. Transport if required. Pension
