Direct Medics is a Registered Supplier to the Northern Ireland Health and Social Care Trust Framework. We are currently working with qualified Bereavement Counsellors to help them find new and exciting opportunities with the Trusts here in Northern Ireland. As such, we are now recruiting on behalf of the Belfast Trust for a Band 6 Bereavement Counsellor to work within the Maternity Psychology Service in the Belfast Trust. As part of the Maternity Psychology Service, the postholder will provide a specialist Bereavement Counselling Service to families negatively impacted by pregnancy-related and baby loss within the Royal Jubilee Maternity Service and the Regional Neonatal Service.
Full-time hours will be required for this post (Monday-Friday) – part-time availability may also be considered. This temporary locum post will be required for 12 months initially with the possibility of extension in the future. Salary starting from £20.28 for the first 12 weeks and increasing to £21.10 thereafter for PAYE (includes holiday pay).
Requirements
Professional qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy (minimum Level 4 Advanced Diploma or equivalent) Professional Registration and Accreditation as a practitioner with BACP, IACP, UKCP or equivalent; or meet all the criteria to apply for accreditation/ meet the criteria for future entry at SCoPEd Column B Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification UK supervised clinical practice accumulating to at least 200 hours post-qualifying supervised practice Experience in working with statutory and voluntary agencies/ Experience of carrying out client assessments Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
