This job application is restricted to applicants in the UK only. £26,351.73 per annum, pro rata for part-time hours We are looking for a well-organised and versatile individual to work with the Lead Counsellor in delivering a counselling service in Swansea and NPT with people who have been bereaved. This is a blend of a Health Board and Welsh Government funded projects for 3 years until March 2028 and will be offering psychological relief to bereaved people during their first year of being bereaved. The method is to explain models of bereavement, provide individual counselling via an assessment and 6 sessions as well as delivering group sessions. This will assist the clients through those first, emotionally challenging anniversaries. The counsellor will be representing Platfform Wellbeing and will therefore need to behave in a professional and ethical way and to respond to suggestions and colleagues in a positive and helpful way. In periods of downtime, you may be required to work on other projects within Platfform Wellbeing and assist the Lead Counsellors with the smooth running of Platfform Wellbeing. We work with people experiencing challenges with their mental health, and with communities who want to create a greater sense of wellbeing in the places that they live. Through our projects, we work with thousands of people each year. We believe that long-lasting wellbeing comes about by understanding how lives can be shaped by traumatic experiences, identifying people’s strengths and focusing on healing. We know we can’t ‘fix’ people, but we can walk alongside people and help where we can on their journey. We try hard to make Platfform a great place to work, we live our values and mission in everything that we do.
