We are currently seeking EHO’s for
Argyll and Bute: Lochgilphead, Dunoon, and Oban. The role involves delivering a full range of statutory environmental health services, including public health, environmental protection, licensing and planning consultations, health and safety, and food safety. Details/Requirements: Deliver the full range of statutory environmental health work, specifically responding to service requests in the areas of public health, environmental protection, licensing and planning consultations, health and safety, and food safety. For the Oban location, additional responsibility for inspecting premises under Regulation (EC) No 853/2004, particularly fishery and dairy premises. Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Environmental Health and REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health/EHORB, or Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection, or equivalent. HACCP level 4 and Official Control Verification certificate for food safety work in Oban. Experience:
Minimum 3 years with a local authority or in a similar agency role. Working Hours:
28-35 hours per week. Nature of Post:
Hybrid – On-site work within Argyll and Bute with off-site flexibility for administrative tasks.
