is looking to hire a
Building Safety Manager
for one of our clients, a locally-based council authority in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated professional to take on a key role in ensuring the safety of residents in
Higher-Risk Residential Buildings (HRRBs) . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HRRBs in accordance with the
Building Safety Act 2022 , ensuring the safety of buildings 18 meters and above, and maintaining the Golden Thread of Information. Job Purpose: The Building Safety Manager will be responsible for producing safety case reports, Fire and Emergency files, and overseeing safety standards for HRRBs as well as other high-risk buildings, including high-rise sheltered and hostel accommodations. This role will ensure the delivery of critical safety measures in line with current regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialist professional and technical advice to the
Accountable Person
and act as a professional in hearings, adjudications, and legal proceedings. Prepare Safety Case reports and files for submission to the
Building Safety Regulator / HSE . Manage resident engagement within high-rise and higher-risk buildings, addressing fire and structural safety concerns. Work with
Fire Brigade
inspectors on joint inspections and ensure necessary remedial work is carried out. Advise and inspect repair and maintenance contractors to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Required Qualifications and Skills:
In-depth knowledge of
Building Safety ,
Fire Safety Management , and
Health & Safety
regulations. Experience in managing HRRBs and understanding the requirements of higher-risk residential buildings. Strong understanding of the
Building Safety Act 2022
and related regulations. Proven experience in resident engagement and liaising with regulatory bodies. Excellent report-writing skills and experience with regulatory submissions.
