Our client is seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join their team in Belfast. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in writing tenders and managing bids for large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly within the EV charging, ICP (Independent Connection Provider), and utilities sectors. The successful candidate will take ownership of the bid process, produce high-quality proposals, and ensure all submissions meet client requirements, deadlines, and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities include:
Bid Management: Oversee the entire bid lifecycle for EV, ICP, and utility projects, ensuring full compliance with tender requirements. Proposal Writing: Develop clear, compelling, and technically precise proposals tailored to infrastructure projects within these sectors. Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, including project managers, engineers, and leadership, to gather input and ensure a unified approach to proposals. Tender Submission: Deliver high-quality submissions on time, addressing client specifications and strategic goals. Bid Strategy: Formulate and execute strategies to enhance proposal success rates while aligning with company objectives. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients and partners to understand their needs and customise proposals accordingly. Quality Assurance: Meticulously review bids to ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency. Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of industry developments, client requirements, and competitor strategies to improve bid quality and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven Experience: A track record in bid management, particularly within the EV, ICP, and utilities sectors. Strong Writing Skills: Ability to craft high-quality, technically sound tenders and proposals that align with client needs and evaluation criteria. Project Management Expertise: Experience managing multiple concurrent bids and meeting tight deadlines. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the EV charging, ICP, and utilities industries, with the ability to articulate technical solutions. Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to bid preparation and submission. Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external clients. Commercial Insight: Understanding of pricing models, contract terms, and value propositions. IT Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant bid/document management software. Education: A degree in a relevant field is advantageous but not essential.
